This year's GSI Noosa Festival Of Surfing included a giant rollcall of world champs paying homage to the tribal nature of surfing. Fanning, Occy, Curren, Carroll, Rabbit, PT, MR, Shaun, et al, came out of the rainforest to talk story, have a few beers and generally cut loose on a manner of strange equipment.
Much of the modern surfboard was designed on Noosa's perfect shaped waves 40 years ago by Nat Young, George Greenough and Bob McTavish. Over recent years, the resort town puts on a whopping great surf festival, where folk on all boards come together to rip the bag out of the town's perfect little peelers.
