Saturday Morning: Not epic by any stretch, plenty of North Swell but still a few takers at the Banzai Pipeline. Plenty of ugly ones in between but it cleaned up throughout the day, and by 2:00pm, The Pipe to Rocky Lefts stretch was smoking.

Julian Wilson: The standout at Rocky Lefts on Saturday afternoon. Despite the heavy 'CT presence, Julian drew some of the smoothest lines. Not surprising when you check Julian's stylish ancestral tentacles - father Mick was one of the first to surf Noosa's famed pointbreaks in the 1960s.

Gas Chambers: Thankfully, sometimes gets forgotten amongst all the name breaks within legrope swinging distance to its gaping left pits. As the sun sets over Ka'ena Point in the background, green and gold light ping-pongs all over it.

Royden: The swell dropped on Sunday morning, but no cause for alarm for Royden Brysen. This year, at Bells, Hossegor and Mundaka, the likeable East Londoner got on a roll, nailed other competitors to the wall, and left the crowds dribbling on the sand. His free-surfing act, if anything, supersedes this, especially over shallow bottoms.

Phil Macca: Off-The-Wall, Some days it's just bloody pleasant. Phil Macca washes off the dirt from a hard week's worth of footy games at Sunset Elementary with this tropical pit.

Inside Out: When the swell drops, the crowds and photogs flock to Rocky Rights like mosquitos to a zapper. Not for Billy and a select group of pros who chose Sunday afternoon, to bodysurf out the front at Insanities, getting an Ahi's eye view.
