With the tour returning to slap-happy, sand-bottomed breaks (Gold Coast) this month, it’s time to take a good hard look at CJ Hobgood’s small wave quiver.

After all, this is a man who knows a keen eye for equipment doesn’t start and end at Teahupoo: In the past 12 months Ceejay’s meticulous board knowledge has seen him take out two events at Sebastian Inlet, one at Trestles and another at Huntington.
